TRAINING ON BANC ASSURANCE BUSINESS AND RISK MANAGEMENT FOR BANKS AND FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS FROM 3RD TO 7TH JUNE 2024 AT BANK OF TANZANIA MWANZA BRANCH
A. INTRODUCTION
The Bank of Tanzania Act, 2006, and the Banking and Financial Institutions Act, 2006 mandate the Bank of Tanzania to license, regulate, and supervise banks and financial institutions in Tanzania.
As a regulator, the Bank of Tanzania is entrusted with the responsibility of ensuring a stable, sound, and safe banking sector and financial system at large. In discharging this responsibility, it is the interest of the Bank of Tanzania to broaden the area of expertise in bancassurance business and risk management, which will be applicable in today’s everchanging and unpredictable world and deepen understanding of bancassurance business and risk management. Given the foregoing, the Bank of Tanzania Academy has organized a Training on Bancassurance Business and Risk Management for banks and financial institutions from 3rd to 7th June 2024 Bank of Tanzania Mwanza branch.
B. OBJECTIVE OF THE COURSE
At the end of the course, participants will be able to.
Explain the reasons for introducing the Bancassurance business in the market.
Explain how the Bancassurance business contributes to Tanzania’s economy.
Explain the relationship between financial institutions and the insurance industry.
Identify bancassurance products within the bank.
Apply principles and practices of the bancassurance Tanzania market.
Identify best practices in Managing the bancassurance business.
Explain the bancassurance regulatory framework.

This course is designed specifically for Treasury Professionals, Investment Managers, Credit Managers, Operations Managers, Relationship Managers, Accounting Professionals, Risk Managers, Internal/External Auditors, Regulators, Finance Experts, or any other interested person in banking institutions and related companies.
